Major highways and transport nodes of the Russian Federation

“Amur” highway, Chita – Khabarovsk section.
The highway is a part of transcontinental Moscow – Vladivostok road. It will enable all-the-year-round passage through the territory of all the country; the highway is of strategic importance for the Russian Federation economical and political interests.

Saint Petersburg encircling highway.
This encircling highway will become a connecting element of the region’s road network and will make a single whole out of all the highways leading from Saint Petersburg to Helsinki, Murmansk, Moscow, Kiev and Tallinn direction; it will enable car owners and road carriers to save time, will improve safety and ecological condition.

Adler – Krasnaya Polyana highway. Tunnel .
The highway sides with Dzugba – Sochi highway, it ensures the normal conditions for administrative and economic activities in Krasnaya Polyana village and in mountain regions. This new section will enable to save time, guarantee traffic safety, improve road communications in mountain and coast regions of the Black Sea coast. “Don” highway (Moscow – Voronezh – Rostov-on-Don - Novorossiysk)
Road works on a highway constituting a part of “North-South” road network will enable to realize the transit potential of the Russian transport system. These are highways that are used to the greatest extent for cargo and passenger transportation within the borders of Russia as well as in international transits to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey etc.
Bridge across Kola bay, Kola – Pechenega highway.

The bridge is an impotrant section linking Murmansk region and Scandinavian (Norwegian and Finnish) borders. After commissioning of the bridge in 2005 it enabled to develop in a more profound way economical, political and cultural connections with the countries of the Barents sea region.
